The 'Bit of a Do' was hugely successful and enjoyable. Thanks to everyone who bought raffle tickets or donated items. £1,000 is to be presented to the local branch of the Parkinson's Disease Society, a further £500 is earmarked for the Leukaemia Ward at Sheffield Childrens Hospital.

The Winterton Iron bus to Peterborough on Saturday October 24th will leave the Lions Head at 10.30, picking up at Pizza Hut in town, room left on the coach if you know of anyone ????

The two buses for Man City on Wednesday, October 28th will leave the Lions Head at 2.30 and then pick up at Pizza Hut. Might be a couple of places left, ring Doug. If progress on the journey is satisfactory it is hoped to have a stop at Hartshead Moor services on the way.

The Cardiff game as most of you know has caused us a few problems with most of the 'hard core' of us who travel away not going because of the 'Bit of a Do' at Winterton Rangers on the Saturday night.
|
What has been decided is to open the bus booking book at Karens Fruit and Veg shop on King Street (Tel 737123) to see if there is still enough interest to run a bus to the game. The bus will cost us the best part of a thousand pounds so we need commitment before going ahead. Perhaps we will not get enough names ?? We will reach a decision at our next meeting in two weeks time on Monday July 13th.
The cost would be £20 for members, £15 for under 17's and £23 for no members.
