Tha Base

The Base (
click here to visit their website) offers young people from different backgrounds a chance to take part in a full range of activities. They can gain technical experience and practical skills, whilst building their self-esteem and making new friends. The Centre is focused on providing out of school activities for teenagers and is free and open for everyone to join in.
The Base provides a safe venue where teenagers can stretch their wings and learn new skills. Why not come and have look around on the night and get a flavour of what goes on. If you like it, come back and visit again and take part in the fun.
Situated under the Scunthorpe Library around 100 young people attend the centre every night. It gives young people somewhere safe to go during the evening, instead of hanging out on the street. The youth workers do a brilliant job of tapping into the young people and revealing the most amazing talents.
Entrance to the centre is on the Church Square side of the Library and it is open:

Tuesday evening 7.00 to 9.00 p.m.
Thursday evening 7.00 to 9.00 p.m.
Saturday afternoon 1.00 to 3.00 p.m.
