Further developments at the Roxby Play Area  funded by BIFFAWARD have recently been completed following the enhancements to the play equipment in 2009 funded by WREN.

The recent work has involved three main items namely:

• The provision of a concrete pathway into the play area replacing the mud surface historically present which has always been a slipping hazard.


• The installation of gates and fencing to enable overnight security when necessary and minimise vandalism.


• The installation of an acoustic fence of  specialist design with the aim of minimising noise from the park to adjoining properties. This aspect has also been helped by a complementary project whereby the equipment favoured by older children has been segregated from that used primarily by the younger element.
