Lesley Langton, Secretary, commented that it would be great if we could get a cricket team established for the summer time, and that she is very interested to hear from anyone who would like to get involved.
The committee are also hoping to have a natural BMX track established to the West of the field - they will be in the form of several earth mounds - for safety reasons it was felt it would be easier to establish and not so hard if young people fall off their bikes. If anyone is interested in helping or becoming involved in establishing this, please do get in touch with Lesley via Pam Dudson, Town Clerk.

The Newport Drive Playing Field Committee are looking at providing a pavillion and club house for the site. They have some exciting plans, so if anyone is interested in being on the committee and helping at this exciting time to run the club and to fund raise, please contact Lesley Langton on 01724 733216.
