Leader Newsletter - Northern Lincolnshire Rural Local Action Group News
This Newsletter may be of interest to those groups who would like funding for small projects. The funding is ‘matched funding’ meaning that groups have to put in an equal amount to that which they expect to receive.

Community Funding and Grants
The following information has been extracted from the North Lincs Council’s website:
North Lincs council uses the Grantnet funding search system. Grantnet holds information about potential funding sources. The system is free to use and allows voluntary organisations to identify funding that may be available for specific projects.
All you need to do is register your organisation. You will then receive an email containing a password that will give you access to Grantnet. Once you are in the system you will be asked to answer questions about your organisation and the specific project you want to find funding for. You will then get a brief overview of the grant schemes that could apply to your project.
Grantnet will email the information you give to us. We will then be able to provide you with:
- more detailed information on the appropriate grant schemes
- guidance to help move your project forward
To register your organisation
click here to visit the Grantnet website.
Alternatively, if you would like us to perform the search for you, you can download a copy of the funding enquiry form or complete an online version of the request form by clicking the appropriate link below. Once you have given us details of your project and it has been assessed we will forward the results to you:

Please note that the Grantnet database holds details of thousands of schemes. Many of these schemes change each month and new schemes are constantly being introduced. Information on small funding schemes that are quickly exhausted are not generally included on Grantnet.

Community Pot Funding
Please visit VANL (Voluntary Action North Lincolnshire) for further details by
clicking here.
The Community Pot is a grant funding facility run by Voluntary Action North Lincolnshire. Money from several small ‘pots’ is managed by VANL to award small grants which conform to the requirements of each pot. The pots being managed under the Community Pot may change at any time, so it is best to check with VANL Scunthorpe office as to whether your project falls under the current criteria before submitting an application.
Decisions on which projects to fund are taken by an independent body of volunteers. VANL facilitates the decisions, and offers guidance to voluntary organisations on what is required in the application process. VANL also monitors progress on the grants awarded.
Grass Roots Grants
We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in our application to be a Local Funder for the small grants element of the Grassroots Grants programme, in North Lincolnshire. The grants will be distributed through the Community Pot monthly.
