Civic Awards

Each year the Town Council recognises the hard work and commitment of local people with its Civic Awards:

The Burgon Award

The Burgon Award is awarded for outstanding voluntary work in the community (over 18’s)

The Don Johnson Award

The Don Johnson Award is awarded for outstanding voluntary work in the community (under 18’s)

*New for 2016* The Sporting Achievement Award

The Sporting Achievement Award is award to an individual or team who lives in Winterton or is part of a team which is based in Winterton.  This award is open to all ages.

Certificate of Appreciation

A Certificate of Appreciation is awarded to an individual who has demonstrated community involvement and has given their time to help others.

The Council accepts nominations for the awards from February to April. (Nominations close the week before the April Full Council meeting).

Nominations can be made to the Clerk, please include the name of the person/s you wish to nominate and a short paragraph detailing why you think they should receive an award.

Winners will be announced at the Town Council Civic Dinner, held at the end of April.
